CryptoParty Tirana 2024, featuring LibreLabs
We are pleased to announce that CryptoParty Tirana 2024 will take place on June 22, 2024. The event will feature experienced LibreLabs mentors dedicated to helping the participants protect their online privacy and security.
What is a CryptoParty?
A CryptoParty is a grassroots initiative aimed at introducing the basics of practical cryptography and privacy-enhancing tools to the general public. It is an open format where everyone, from beginners to experts, can come together to learn, share knowledge, and improve their digital security. The goal is to empower individuals to take control of their privacy in a world where digital surveillance is increasingly common. Bonus: we will learn more together about digital rights.
Who Will Be There?
CryptoParty Tirana 2024 will gather individuals from various social groups active in civil society in Albania. These groups often face the risk of having their communications monitored by rogue entities, making the skills and tools provided at a CryptoParty particularly valuable. Activists and people concerned about online privacy will find this edition of CryptoParty Tirana ideal.
Our Mentors
The mentors at this year’s CryptoParty will be seasoned members of LibreLabs Albania. Our team of digital rights activist have extensive experience organizing similar events over the past few years, ever since the first CryptoParty in Tirana was initiated by Arjen Kamphuis. We are committed to digital freedom and privacy, and we are eager to share our knowledge with the community.

Due to the sensitive nature of the topics discussed, CryptoParty Tirana 2024 will be an invitation-only event. This ensures a safe and secure environment where participants can freely learn and discuss without fear of external threats.
